Ingredients:
* horse gram - 1/2 cup (Soaked)
* Onion - 1/2 chopped
* mustard - 1/4 tspn
* urad dhal - 1/2 tspn
* curry leaves
* hing powder - pinch
* Garam masala - 1/4 tspn
* chilly powder - 1/4 tspn
* grated coconut - 2 tspn
* Coconut oil - 1tspn
Preparation:
Pressure cook dhal with salt.
Then saute mustard,curry leaves,hing,urad dhal and onion.
Then add cooked dhal to it.
Then add garam masala and chilly powder.
Garam masala and chilly powder can be adjusted as per your spice level.
After adding these switch off the gas and add grated coconut.
It adds more flavour to the dish.But it can also be avoided for healthy reasons.
You can also add grated carrot to it.
The same is with coconut oil.Those who dont have coconut can use the cooking-grade coconut oil.
Those who dont want to use garam masala can grind daniya,red chilly and cloves together and add it.
