Colourful chips are more attracted by children. Now they could also be done using
wheat flour instead of the normal maida which is not considered to be a good
one now a days.
Ingredients:
*Wheat flour – 2 cup
*Green food colour - a pinch
*Cherry food colour - a pinch
*Kesari food colour – a pinch
*Baking soda – ¼ tspn
*Sugar - 2 tspn (Powdered)
*Cashew – 2 tspn (Well blended)
*Butter - 1 tspn
*Oil -
as needed to fry
*Salt - a pinch
Preparation:
Mix wheat flour,rava,baking soda,butter,powdered
sugar and salt with water and knead the dough tight and split it into 4 parts.
To each split portion of the dough
add different food colours like cherry, green, kesari and leave the 4th
one as white.
Then make balls out of the dough that
is in white colour first.
Spread the ball like chapathi and cut
it into pieces.
Then fry the pieces in oil.
Do the same way for other coloured
dough.
Then mix all the chips together and
serve them.
Tips:
As with any other food you can add jaggery syrup to this in stead of sugar. But make sure the dough consistency is adjusted accordingly.
