Ingredients:
- Wheat flour – 2 cup
- Butter – 1 tspn
- Ajwain – ½ tspn
- Baking soda – a pinch
- Oil – as needed to fry
- Salt - as needed
Mix wheat flour,salt,butter,ajwain and baking soda in a bowl.
Then add water and knead the dough to poori dough consistency.
Then make small balls out of the dough and keep it aside.
Spread the balls like chapathi and cut into small pieces with a knife.
Then heat the oil in kadai .
Once its hot,sim the flame and fry a handful of cut pieces.
Turn them occasionally until they are golden brown on both sides.
In the same way fry all the pieces.
Tips:
Those who do not like to deep fry this chips can also bake in oven.
Add little more ghee and bake at 350 degrees.
The baking time varies with gas ranges and the power level.
Normally a tray full of chips should not take more than 30 minutes.
