Wheat Flour Bajji

Ingredients: 
  • Nendharam plantain – 2
  • Wheat flour – ½ cup
  • Maida  - ½ cup
  • Corn flour – 1 tspn
  • Baking powder  -  a pinch
  • Chilly powder -  ¼ tspn
  • Kesari powder -  pinch
  • Grated onion – 1 tspn
  • Corriander leaves -  1 tspn (chopped)
  • Salt -  to taste




Preparation: 

Peel the plantainand cut it into vertical pieces.

Make the pieces thin.

Mix all the above to idly batter consistency.

Heat oil in kadai and dip plantain pieces in the batter and drop it in the oil.

Fry 2 to 3 pieces at a time.

When its golden brown  and a little bit puffy turn it aside and let it fry on that side.

Then take them out and can be served hot.

This goes well with sauce,ketchup or chutney.

Tips

You can also use normal plantain instead of nendhiram plantain.
