Preparation:
Mix wheat flour,maida,baking soda and
curd with water and let it stand for 2 hours in idly batter consistency.
Heat oil in a kadai and make round
shaped strings (jilebi) out of the batter into hot oil.
Once cooked, drain them out of oil and
let it cool.
In another kadai, add sugar with ½ cup
water and make sugar syrup out of it.
In the syrup, add cardamom powder, kesari powder, essence(as per your
wish) and switch off the stove.
Now dip the jilebis in the warm sugar
syrup and take them out.
Its not needed to let them stand in
the syrup.
You can now spread grated coconut on
the top of the jilebis
Tips:
You can also try jaggery syrup
instead of sugar syrup for good.
It also comes out in a good form.
