Wheat Kuzhi Appam

Ingredients:

  • Wheat Flour – ¾ cup
  • Rice Flour – ¼ cup
  • Grated Jaggery – ½ cup
  • Rippened Banana – 1
  • Grated Coconut – 1 tspn
  • Cardamom Powder – a pinch
  • Ghee – 1 tspn
  • Oil – As needed
  • Salt – a pinch




Preparation:

In a bowl,mix well wheat flour,rice flour,salt,banana slices and grated coconut.

Then add one cup water to jaggery and make syrup out of it.

Then mix the syrup with the flour mix and add cardamom powder to it.

Make sure the batter consistency is like that of the idly batter.

Heat the Kuzhi Paniyara kadai and apply some oil.

Then pour the batter into the kadai and turn it aside once its done.

Take out the appams when it turns light brown.

You can also apply ghee and sugar on the top of the appams if you wish.
