At times we all feel embarassed and bored of the sour curd getting wasted and rejected by everyone at home.But here is the simple recipe to make that sour curd a delicious curry,that goes well with hot rice.
Ingredients
Preparation
Soak raw rice and toor dhal in luke warm water for about an hour.
Then grind it with cumin,coconut and green chilly.
Then give a pulse with small onion and ginger.The masala is now ready.
Dilute the butter milk and add salt and turmeric powder to it as needed.
In a kadai,add 1 tspn oil and temper with mustard,curry leaves and hing powder.
Add the above said masala to the kadai.
When it bubbles,add the buttermilk.Do not boil the buttermilk for a long time.
Just let it make some bubbles.Then switch off the flame and add corriander leaves.
The more kuzhambu is now ready to be served hot with white rice or brown rice.
Tips
If you wish to add vegetables to this curry, cook them seperately with salt and add it when you add buttermilk.
You can use this cuury with cracked wheat cooked like rice.
Just cook cracked wheat with water in pressure cooker or rice cooker in 1:2 ratio.It has less carb when compared to the white rice which the diabetics could consume for good.
