Colourful Wheat parotta

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour -  1 ½ cup
  • Coconut -  ½ cup (grated)
  • Jaggery – ½ cup
  • Carrot – ½ cup (grated)
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tspn
  • Milk -  ½ cup
  • Ghee – as needed
  • Salt -  a pinch




Preparation:


Mix wheat flour with milk,salt and ghee and knead the dough.

Peel clean the carrot and grate it in a grater.

Add 1 tspn ghee  in kadal and sauté the grated carrot slightly.

Then add grated coconut,cardamom powder and powdered jaggery to carrot.

When this mix doesn’t stick to the kadai,switch off the flame and cool the mix.

Then make small balls from itMake small balls from the dough and flatten it.

Keep a ball of carrot coconut mix in the center of the dough.

Again knead it now and spread it like small poori in hands.

Heat the non-stick griddle and apply ghee.

Now heat the parotta and apply ghee on both sides and cook it until its golden brown.

This can be served crisp.
