Ingredients:
- Wheat rava- 1cup
- Ghee- 2 tspn
- Rice flour - 2 tspn
- Milk -1 litre
- Nuts - 2 tspn (mixed,chopped)
- Badam Essence – few drops
- Cardamom powder – a pinch
- Kesari powder – a pinch
- Jaggery – as needed (powdered)
- Oil – as needed
- Salt - a pinch
Preparation:
Mix rava
with salt and 1 tspn oil and knead the dough with little water like poori
dough.
In another
bowl mix ghee and rice flour well.
Boil milk
and once it’s done ,switch off the flame and add jaggery syurp to it.
Roast the
nuts in ghee.Add the
nuts,badam essence,kesari powder and cardamom powder to the milk.
Spread the
kneaded rava dough completely in a big plate.
On top of
this apply the rice flour ghee mix.
Now fold
this into half and again apply the ghee rice flour mix as shown in the picture.
The same way
repeat the process and apply the ghee mix on each layer.
Repeat this
until the rice flour ghee mix is done.
Now make
small balls after kneading them all together and flatten it by spreading with
hands.
Heat oil in
a kadai and fry the pooris one by one.
Then place
the poori in a plate and pour the milk nuts mixture on top of it.
The pathir
peni is now ready to be served hot.
